Darsha D Clark, LPC, LLC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia and Georgia. I have worked in the mental health field since 1997. I earned my master’s degree from the University of Dayton in 2002. I have honed my skills in a variety of settings, such as schools, hospitals, residential facilities, juvenile justice systems, community programs, and in private practice.

I enjoy listening and helping. I believe in the power of talk therapy. I once read a quote that says, “What a curious power words have.” This quote suggests that talk therapy works, and I believe that wholeheartedly. I understand that “Hurt People, Hurt People,” so let’s begin the healing process. When you are hurting you might intentionally or unintentionally hurt yourself and people, and relationships with people are vital and you are important! I can help you improve your overall well-being and develop healthy relationships and improve relationships with family, friends, and co-workers.

Often therapists and other professionals talk about their niche in the mental health world. My niche is simple but important; connecting with and helping people, believing in them, and cheering them on as they become the person they desire to become.

Testimonials

It’s not going too far to say that therapy has had a lifechanging effect for me. Before I started working with Darsha I was not leaving my house, neglecting my relationships, and neglecting taking care of myself. Through working with her not only have I been able to recapture some of my life, I’ve also gained insight into certain nuances of my traumas I was not aware of before, which is ideal for me to sustain a long-term recovery. I couldn’t imagine having to work with another therapist after working with her.

- Current Client

Darsha’s supervision approach focuses on building on personal strengths while encouraging you to reflect on areas of growth. She encourages developmentally-appropriate autonomy, fostering additional opportunities for counselors to learn to trust their own clinical judgment.

-Therapist

I recently heard Mrs. Clark speak at a seminar and was impressed by her authenticity and ability to engage the attendees. She spoke to the issues of mental health in a way that was relatable and compassionate. She appears to have a true heart for her profession as well as a love of God
