The new year has begun, and we need to take some time to regroup from the holiday season. Let's be intentional about consistently engaging in self-care. Self-care is the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one's health.
SELF-CARE MYTHS:
- It's expensive
- Time consuming
- Must go away to secluded area
- It's done in isolation
- Self-indulgent
- It's selfish
- We only need self-care when we are stressed or feel bad
I am looking forward to the weather warming up and being able to consistently enjoy walks outside with the sun shining bright! Until then I'll be using my indoor bike and treadmill and enjoying watching good movies cuddled up with a blanket. Take some time to do what you enjoy.
