THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS COMING!!! Let's prepare by starting a consistent self-care routine. Self-care is the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one's health. 

SELF-CARE MYTHS: 

  • It's expensive
  • Time consuming
  • Must go away to secluded area
  • It's done in isolation
  • Self-indulgent
  • It's selfish
  • We only need self-care when we are stressed or feel bad

I just participated in NAMIWalks and that was my self-care for the day. I spent time doing something I am passionate about...raising awareness about mental health.
